Meet us at FutureWorx

FTC are set to attend our first event of 2022

Meet us at FutureWorx to discuss and shape the ‘Construction Site of 2030 and Beyond’

FTC are set to attend our first event of 2022 this week (Weds 30th and Thurs 31stMarch) at the Peterborough Arena, where the inaugural FutureWorx event takes place.

Organised by Plantworx and the Construction Equipment Association (CEA), the event will focus on three key themes: The Human Interface, Data and Decarbonisation, with event organisers stating it ‘‘seeks to identify, demonstrate and discuss the technology and innovation that will drive sustainability and productivity on the construction site of 2030 and beyond.’

We’ll be exhibiting not only from our own stand, showcasing our ever popular Pedestrian Detection camera system, which does away with the dated need for pedestrians to wear ‘Tags, we will also be working in conjunction with Plant Force who have been utalising our systems for some time and will be demonstrating how they can pick up live feeds from our cameras remotely at one of their sites, giving them the ability to watch or download pedestrian detection live feeds on a working site. Additionally we will be demonstrating our Fleet Management system OptaFleet which provides real time information on such things as location, usage, faults and can even integrate with CANBUS to provide endless streams of data including fuel usage and levels, visitors are welcome to drop in to our stand and get a real time demonstration of how such systems can help with productivity and awareness, but also improve Health and Safety for everyone across the board.

FTC Group have been market leaders in the MHE industry for well over a decade, becoming ‘preferred supplies’ for multiple FLT OEM Dealer Networks, our OptaFleet fleet management system is commonplace on all types of fork lift trucks, MEWPs and the like within this industry, other systems and products are equally as well-known such as Fleet Aware proximity warning and more recently our Pedestrian Detection Camera systems, we work with some of the largest brands and companies not only in the UK but also further afield with some of our bigger projects seeing fleets in excess of 1000 fitted with a range of our systems giving Fleet Managers and H&S Executives the assurances and data they require in todays workplace. Over the past 18 months we have expanded into the plant and construction market as a natural progression given our systems were already being used in such environments, our Pedestrian Detection Camera system has been the leading light in this expansion, our system alerts operators and pedestrians whenever the two come within a bespoke set distance of each other, the system is now in place with several large construction and plant companies across the UK with HS2 being amongst the most high profile. Most recent insight seems to show that many sites, including
HS2 are in fact looking to legislate the use of pedestrian detection systems such as ours in the not too distant future, this should replace dated systems that require pedestrians to all be armed with ‘tags’ as this procedure has become unworkable on large multi-contractor sites.

We look forward to engaging with the industry to help shape the future of our industry, the event is free to attend so please feel free to drop by our stand for a friendly chat and insight in too technology that is designed to assist operators, owners and pedestrians alike.
